Divine light is a religious term often used to describe the light of God. Essentially, each religion has a different perspective on depicting this divine light, particularly in Islam.
This is closely related to religious perspectives on divine radiance from the Creator. So, what is the meaning of divine light in Islam?

Religiously, Muslims know the term divine light as nur. The word 'Nur' is mentioned in the Koran 43 times and uniquely there is one surah named Surah An-Nur.
Surah An-Nur also contains a verse discussing light. You can find a complete explanation of the meaning of light in Surah An-Nur, verse 35 of the Quran.
This verse explains that divine light is a path of guidance, where this path is to direct humanity to the straight path to the Creator, namely Allah SWT.
In this regard, divine light in Islam is something that helps Muslims achieve grace, guidance, and rewards from Allah SWT. Conversely, those who disbelieve and do not believe in Allah will be far from His light.
Sourced from the book Translation of the Book of Hikam and its Explanation, if Allah SWT wants His faithful people to reach His side, then Allah will always bring to them the divine Nur.
As a guide for His servants to reach the divine Nur, Allah will send down the Al-Quran and Sunnah. So, whoever always practices the Al-Quran and hadith will receive blessings from Allah.
Because, divine light is a guidance that can penetrate the hearts and hearts of those who believe and are devout. So, whoever does not believe and submit to Him will find darkness in their path of life.

For a Muslim, divine light is the greatest blessing from Allah SWT. to his servants as he wishes. The characteristics of people who receive divine light from Allah are people who always carry out His commands and stay away from all His prohibitions.
People who regularly worship in God's house will be guaranteed guidance and guidance from God. The following are the characteristics of people who receive guidance and guidance from Allah:
One of the characteristics of someone given Nur by Allah is that he is not deceived by the world. If a person is not deceived by the world and focuses on worshiping God, then he will always be given peace and guidance in his life.
Prioritizing the afterlife over worldly affairs grants Muslims light from Allah. By reducing worldly interests and focusing on worship, a person will be more noble in the eyes of Allah.
So, it would be good for Muslims to always prioritize their worship to gain God's approval. Leave behind worldly concerns that make us forget to devote time to worshipping Allah.
The characteristics of those chosen by Allah to receive divine light are those who are always prepared to face the coming of death. This is because a person will always distance themselves from actions that will harm them in the afterlife.

Basically, this parable of the divine Nur is a lamp behind glass and in its place burning surrounded by the clearest oil. Therefore, in Islam you often find the glass above the lamp shining and sparkling.
The lamp will be placed in a house of worship filled with believers and those devoted to their Lord. The meaning of the divine light is to signal that believers who consistently believe in God will be granted guidance and eternal happiness.
Therefore, Muslims who are preoccupied with their Lord more than with worldly pursuits are guaranteed to be kept away from darkness. Therefore, the best believers are those who draw closer to their Lord.
As mentioned previously, the term 'Nur' in the Quran (35) means Nur and its meaning shows that something related to the senses will be explained by Allah.
This means that all sensory powers such as sight, touch, smell, hearing and taste will have Nur to reveal everything that is sensed. The existence of divine light is a form of God's power over His faithful servants.
