Surrendering to Allah is one aspect of a Muslim's life. This process encompasses faith, submission, and complete trust in Allah in all aspects of life.
In life, you will often face various challenges and trials that test your faith. Therefore, as a Muslim, the correct attitude in facing these challenges and trials is to surrender to the Almighty.
Surrendering to God means wholeheartedly believing that God is the ruler of all affairs and leaving the results of all efforts to Him. This doesn't mean surrendering without effort, but rather, it involves maximum effort accompanied by complete confidence that God will provide the best results.
Surrendering to Allah brings inner and mental peace to a Muslim. A Muslim will feel calmer in facing the various trials and tribulations of life.
The belief that everything that happens has been arranged by Allah and is the best way for His servants, gives us the strength to continue trying without feeling burdened by results that may not be in accordance with expectations.
The proof regarding surrender to Him is stated in Surah Al-Imran verse 159 which means "Then when you have made up your mind, then put your trust in Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who put their trust."

Faith and piety are the main foundations for surrendering to Allah . Strengthening faith can be done in various ways, such as diligently praying, reading the Koran or by understanding Islamic teachings.
Meanwhile, piety means protecting oneself from sin and carrying out all of His commands. Ways to strengthen faith and piety include regularly performing the five daily prayers, reading and internalizing the Quran daily, attending religious gatherings or lectures, and increasing dhikr and prayer.

Life is full of various tests and trials. One way to surrender to Allah is to face these trials with patience and trust in Him. Patience means accepting each test with an open heart, while trust in Him means surrendering the final outcome to Him after doing your best.

Dhikr and prayer are effective ways to get closer and surrender to Allah . By dhikr, the heart becomes calm and always feels under His supervision. Prayer is a form of human communication with God, asking for His help and guidance.

To be able to surrender to Allah , it is important for every Muslim to stay away from all forms of sin and immorality. By avoiding actions that are prohibited by Allah, we maintain the purity of our hearts and minds, and draw ourselves closer to Him.
The way to avoid sin is to stay away from an environment that encourages sin, ask Him for forgiveness regularly through istigfar, fill your time with useful and positive activities and keep your sight, hearing and actions away from haram things.
Becoming a Muslim is a life choice that must be lived with sincerity and openness to Allah. Making Him a refuge and surrendering oneself is the essence of a devout Muslim.
