The Koran is the main source of life guidance for mankind. Rasulullah Sallallahu'alaihi wassalam was sent to convey this great treatise as rahmatan lil 'alamin - grace for all nature. When we recite by reading, understanding and practicing the Qur'an, our lives will be filled with invaluable calm and happiness.
The question is, is your recitation correct? To what extent is your life close to the Quran and longing for its guidance? For example, has reciting Surah Al-Fatihah thousands of times brought you a sense of calm and happiness?

The Koran is not only a routine reading, but also a guide to life safety. As stated in Surah Al-Baqarah (2:2), the Qur'an is a guide for those who are devout ( hudan lil muttaqin ).
Meaning: "This book (Al-Qur'an) has no doubt in it; guidance for those who are pious,"
Unlike human-made guidance which is often wrong and sometimes leads us astray, guidance from Allah will never make us afraid, worried, or sad.
When someone seriously follows the instructions of the Qur'an, a sense of calm and happiness will automatically appear within him. The Prophet not only conveyed the Koran as reading, but also as guidance in every aspect of life.
Just as the Prophet Moses was given the Torah as special guidance for the Children of Israel, the Prophet Muhammad was sent to all mankind with the Koran which is valid throughout all times and places. Prophets and end-time treatises should make us calm and happy.

In order for the Qur'an to truly become a guide for life, there are three main stages that we must go through: qira'ah , tilawah , and tahfizh .
The first stage is qira'ah , which involves reading the Quran with tartil and in accordance with the rules of tajwid. Even if we only read without understanding its meaning, Allah SWT already grants great rewards for each letter we recite. The hadith states that one letter of the Quran is worth ten good deeds. For example, the words "alif lam mim" are counted as three letters, each carrying great reward and goodness.
The more we read the Quran, the more good deeds we accumulate. The Quran becomes our best companion, bringing blessings every time we take the time to read it. That is the meaning of Qiraah.
The second stage is recitation , which means reading the Quran with understanding and practicing its contents according to the example of the Prophet Muhammad. Recitation is not just reading, but also loving, understanding, following, and emulating the values of the Quran in everyday actions.
The Prophet Muhammad was nicknamed the "walking Quran" because his behavior and morals fully reflected the teachings of the Quran. If we can recite the Quran well, our prayers will act as a shield against evil and wrongdoing. Thus, recitation has profound meaning.
The third stage is tahfizh , which involves memorizing the Quran and maintaining that memorization throughout life. Memorizing the Quran means not only memorizing its words, but also contemplating them by understanding, practicing, and reflecting on each memorized verse.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that in the hereafter, those who memorize the Qur'an will be ordered to read and ascend to a higher level of heaven, a person's rank will be according to the number of recitations and memorizations they have.

The benefits of reading the Quran are not only spiritual, but also impact physical and mental health. Abdul Malik ibn Umair said that the only person who does not grow old and does not become forgetful is one who consistently reads the Quran until the end of his life.
Quran readers have clearer and sharper minds. They consistently perform three tasks simultaneously: qiraah (recitation), tilawah (recitation), and memorization (tahfiz).
Imam Qurtubi also emphasized that anyone who reads the Quran will have their memory fresh, even after they reach 100 years of age. This demonstrates that the Quran is not only a spiritual guide but also a means of maintaining our mental, memory, and physical health.
