Allah SWT promises that a person will be guaranteed paradise with their parents. Memorizing the Quran, in addition to children, should also be motivated by personal motivation, so that Allah will bless them in this world and the hereafter.

Pengaruh Kecerdasan Memori Menghafal Al-Quran

According to the verse in Surah Al-Qamar, verse 17, Allah SWT commands Muslims to memorize the Quran easily and then learn from it. For no one is more familiar with the Quran than someone who learns it as advice.

Memorizing the Quran has the virtue of elevating one's status, multiplying good deeds, and crowning one's parents. It also impacts the memory of those who memorize the Quran.

This means that someone who memorizes the Quran not only experiences excellence in the afterlife, but also in this world. This excellence in this world stems from the intellectual intelligence they possess from frequently memorizing Quranic verses.

Several case studies have shown that those who frequently memorize the Quran also improve their academic performance. The average academic performance of students who memorize the Quran is higher than that of those who do not.

This phenomenon demonstrates that memorizing verses or chapters in the Quran indirectly sharpens their brain. Through diligent memorization, their brain becomes more capable of absorbing diverse information.

The method of memorizing the Quran itself was implemented when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) received the revelation and then memorized every verse. This practice was followed by subsequent generations, and it has become the Prophet's tradition to this day.

Although it is sunnah (religious advice), memorizing, especially the entire 30 chapters, significantly improves the memory of those who memorize the Quran. This will lead to stronger memory and mental resilience.

These positive impacts don't happen overnight. There are many obstacles to be faced during the process of memorizing the Quran, ranging from difficulty remembering to similarities between verses and wording.

Quran Memorization Methods That Influence Memory Intelligence

There are several methods commonly used by Quran memorizers to easily remember both short and long chapters. These methods also have an impact on memory intelligence because they resemble traditional study methods.

1.     Book of Revelation

The Kitabah method involves first writing down the memorized verses. Then, read the verses until fluent and correct, then recite them. Writing down the memorized verses also helps speed up mental memorization.

2.     Wahdah

This method involves memorizing the verses one by one first. Each verse is repeated at least ten times until it really forms a reflex on the tongue, then move on to the next verse.

3.     Sima'i

Adanya pengaruh kecerdasan memori menghafal Quran juga dikarenakan metode Sima’i yang dilakukan oleh penghafalnya. Metode ini biasa digunakan oleh mereka dengan kecerdasan musikal atau senang belajar jika berkaitan mengenai suara.

The Sima'i method involves memorizing verses recited by a teacher or a cassette recording. You can use the Sima'i method if you have a strong memory.

4.     Combination of Wahdah and Kitabah

This combined method is done by completing the memorized verse first, then the verse can be written down in the notes.

5.     Jama'

The Jama' method involves reciting memorized verses together, led by a supervising teacher. The teacher can read one or more verses, then the students decide together at a time.

Kecerdasan Memori Menghafal Quran Berdasarkan Usia Ideal

There's actually no set minimum age for memorizing the Quran. It's important to understand that Islam doesn't place any burden on its followers, and it's never too late to learn the Quran at any time.

However, if we look at the life around us, the impact of intelligence in memorizing the Quran can be seen when children aged 0-8 years have started to learn to memorize the Quran.

Children aged 0-8 are considered to be in their golden age and easily implement what they learn. A child's intelligence reaches 80-100% by the time they are 18 years old.

If you want your child to be proficient at memorizing the Quran at a young age, you might want to consider this. Moreover, many Islamic boarding schools and schools now focus on Quran memorization.

Memorizing the Quran uses specific methods tailored to the child's age and psychology. This demonstrates that memorizing the Quran is inseparable from the importance of memory intelligence.

The more you memorize, the better it impacts your brain's function. ability to memorize the Quran can be likened to the coils of an electric motor.

As the coil (memorizing verses) continues to operate, the brain, as its engine, becomes active and dynamic, and the particle cells within the brain continue to be active. Active brain cells strengthen the brain itself.

One of the memory benefits of memorizing the Quran is enhanced intellectual capacity. Memorizers are observant of verses with similar wording but can differentiate between them. They typically achieve excellent academic results.

However, this doesn't mean that those who learn late won't be good at memorizing. Scholars consistently remind us that age should not be a barrier to learning and memorizing Quranic verses.

From this explanation, we understand the importance of memorizing the Quran. Both short and long chapters are a prerequisite for valid recitation and are essential for performing prayers. The more you memorize, the more beneficial it will be when applied at specific times.

Another benefit of memorizing Quranic verses is that it improves the memorizer's memory. Therefore, memorizing Quranic verses also has an impact on emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.
