Quran Cordoba, along with the Creative Economy Movement (Gekrafs), launched the Road to 1 Million initiative at the 2022 Islamic Sharia Economic Festival (ISEF). The initiative aims to develop Muslim entrepreneurs who conduct business in accordance with the provisions of the Quran and Sunnah.

"With the Road to 1 Million Quranic Entrepreneurs movement, I hope that many Muslim entrepreneurs will become more devout to Allah. Entrepreneurs not only impact the national economy, but also religion," said Aresdi Mahdi, Chairman of the Road to 1 Million Quranic Entrepreneurs movement, in a press release on Wednesday (October 5). Sutan Emir Hidayat, Director of Sharia Ecosystem Infrastructure at the National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS), expressed a similar sentiment.

He hopes the presence of Quranic entrepreneurs will have a lasting impact, thus creating a generation whose actions are based on the Quran and Sunnah. A number of Islamic economic figures also enlivened the event through a talk show moderated by Arie Untung. Some of them were BSI President Commissioner Adiwarman Karim, Evermos Co-Founder Iqbal Muslimin, and STEI SEBI Chairman Sigit Pramono who discussed the strategic role of sharia economics in supporting the development of the creative industry in Indonesia. Adiwarman on that occasion conveyed the importance of seeking sustenance through halal paths by prioritizing blessings, not wealth. At the end of the event, Sigit Purnomo gave a testimonial about the Road to 1 Million Quranic Entrepreneurs movement. "This event is very important in the development of the sharia economy in the country. By creating Quranic entrepreneurs, we hope that the honest figure of the Prophet Muhammad SAW will hatch in every Indonesian Muslim entrepreneur," he said. Road to 1 Million Quranic Entrepreneurs is a movement to produce Muslim entrepreneurs who do business according to the provisions of the Quran and Sunnah.

Through this movement, Quran Cordoba and Gekrafs hope that the sharia economy in Indonesia will experience a revival.
