Quran Cordoba - Bandung, December 12, 2025 — The waves of extreme rain that continued to pour down on West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Aceh at the end of 2025 have once again opened a dark chapter for thousands of families.

Rivers overflowed, cliffs collapsed, hills collapsed, and thousands of houses were swept away and submerged, limited access, data from Aceh Tamiang alone forced 262,087 residents to evacuate from 216 affected villages .

In the midst of this emergency situation, Quran Cordoba , together with STIKes Dharma Husada Bandung , Nur Quran Indonesia , Wakafku and others, moved quickly to send moral support, logistics and Mushaf assistance to disaster survivors.

Second Phase of Health Volunteers Dispatched to Aceh Tamiang

On Friday, December 12, 2025, five healthcare workers from Dharma Husada Health College officially departed for the disaster area, specifically the worst-hit area of ​​Aceh Tamiang . This second phase of the deployment received logistical support from Quran Cordoba, providing spiritual support for both volunteers and victims facing difficult times.

The journey to the interior of Aceh Tamiang is not easy, taking approximately 2-3 days overland. The volunteer team must navigate muddy paths with extremely limited access.

• The mud is still thick and the roads are slippery
• The power went out so we relied on a generator.
• Communication signals are almost non-existent
• Fuel is scarce with retail prices multiplying
• Daily rainfall intensity is still high

However, their enthusiasm for serving the public's health remains unwavering. Volunteers will immediately provide health check-ups for affected residents experiencing:

• Wounds, Itching
• Respiratory infections, hypertension
• Muscle and joint pain
• Digestive disorders, Vision
• Heartburn, dizziness, and extreme fatigue

The Cordoba Quran and the Solidarity of the Ummah for the Survivors

Cordoba Quran Solidarity in this social and humanitarian mission extends not only to material support but also to spiritual strengthening for the survivors. Quran copies are expected to be a beacon of strength amidst the uncertain situation.

“In every disaster, it is not only the victims who are tested, but also those of us who are not affected—our solidarity and empathy are tested,” the agency stated in an official statement.

"May every step of goodness become an act of virtue, strengthen brotherhood, and affirm solidarity among fellow nations."

In refugee camps filled with the sobs of children and the exhaustion of parents, may the Quranic manuscripts become part of mental recovery, a place for survivors to hold on to and find peace.

Primary Aid Focus: Health, Clean Water, and Recovery

Based on field reports, urgent needs in Aceh Tamiang include:

• Ready-to-eat food and clean water
• Medicines and access to health services
• Clothes and blankets
• Communication and internet access
• Cleaning equipment and renovation of places of worship

The assistance from Quran Cordoba, STIKes Dharma Husada and partners is aimed at strengthening four sectors:

1. Access to health services — medical examinations and handling of post-disaster illness complaints.
2. Clean water — providing access and tools to support sanitation.
3. Renovation & cleaning — especially mosques, public toilets, and social facilities.
4. Spiritual support — provision of copies of the Qur'an and other means of worship.

Aid Travel by Land

Volunteers and logistics will be sent overland, with an estimated travel time of 3–4 days . This route was chosen because:

• Can bring more volunteers
• Allows for carrying much needed operational vehicles
• Can transport logistics purchased from Bandung or on the way

Although time-consuming, the land route provided greater mobility for the team to reach underserved areas. Transport vehicles and volunteers arrived at the Cordoba office for a symbolic handover of aid, also attended by Nur Quran Indonesia administrators.

The floods and landslides in Sumatra and Aceh serve as a reminder that Indonesia is a land blessed with both beauty and vulnerability. Yet, the nation's history consistently demonstrates the same thing: when wounds ache, solidarity is an inexhaustible force.
