For those of you planning to perform a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, various preparations are necessary, including understanding the pillars of that pilgrimage.
Tahallul is the last pillar of the orderly Umrah and Hajj that Muslims must carry out because it is very important. This stage must be carried out when the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage series has been completed.
Because its existence is also known as the closing of the worship process. When viewed from the language, this term has the meaning of being halal or permissible, whereas based on the term syara' it has the meaning of being exempt or permissible. After tahallul, you can release your ihram.
Another definition, according to Islamic jurisprudence, is that it means leaving the state of ihram after performing all the rituals of the Umrah or Hajj. Afterward, the series of Hajj and Umrah rituals is marked by shaving at least three strands of hair.
Because the meaning of this process is liberation, release and forgiveness which is marked by cutting at least 3 strands of hair. As for the legal basis of tahallul itself, it turns out that it is also found in the Al-Quran, specifically in Surah Al Fath verse 27.
Meaning: " that you will definitely enter the Sacred Mosque, if Allah wills in a safe condition, by shaving the hair of your head and shortening it, while you are not afraid ."
Although it may seem trivial and unimportant, the shaving process is a crucial part and should not be overlooked, especially for Muslims who adhere to the Shafi'i school of thought.
If you skip shaving after completing this ritual, you must repeat it. This will invalidate your Hajj or Umrah, so you should be careful about this.
Indirectly, these pillars of worship will teach humans that even though humans are creatures created perfectly, humans are humans who have hair on their heads.
Furthermore, shaving is expected to help a person abandon arrogance, which can lead to feelings of superiority over others. Therefore, this process should never be skipped.

After understanding the meaning of tahallul above, you must next understand its various types. Generally, these stages are divided into two:
The first step can be performed by pilgrims during the Umrah pilgrimage. As explained previously, this procedure is mandatory after completing all the rituals of the Umrah, which involves shaving a few strands of hair.
This process can be a sign that the prohibition on Umrah pilgrims during worship has been lifted. Therefore, you are now granted permission to engage in all prohibited activities.
The next stage is the Hajj, which begins after the pilgrims have completed a series of stages. This stage is divided into two stages: Ashghar (early) and Thani (late).
Ashghar is a process that can be performed at the beginning of the pilgrimage, and some of the pilgrims' prohibitions have already been partially lifted. The process can be performed in two ways: stoning the Aqaba Jamrah and circumambulating the Hajj.
Meanwhile, the Tsani, or final, is performed after all the Hajj rituals have been completed. This type of pilgrimage removes all prohibitions during ihram.
When you are going to perform the Hajj or Umrah, there are a number of pillars that must be carried out. Including the existence of tahallul which is a pillar of worship that must be carried out.
