The Quran contains countless stories and accounts of the prophets, depicting their struggles to uphold the religion of truth, Islam. Many of these stories are inspiring and offer valuable lessons and lessons to be learned.

One of the most famous stories described in the Quran is that of Hajar, the wife of the Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him). The story of Hajar is also used as one of the pillars of the Hajj, performed by pilgrims.

The story of Siti Hajar in the Koran and her son Prophet Ismail

Siti Hajar was the wife of the father of the prophets, Abraham. He is called the father of the prophets because Abraham had several descendants who became prophets and messengers and fought in the path of Allah, namely, the path of truth.

The story of Hajar in the Quran begins with the trial of the Prophet Abraham's wife, who struggled to conceive. However, the couple's patience ultimately paid off.

Allah SWT blessed them with a son, whom they named Ishmael, who would become a prophet who would carry on his father's legacy. Having just been blessed with a child, Prophet Ibrahim was immediately ordered to travel to a certain place.

Prophet Ibrahim, Hajar, and young Ishmael set out on a journey to the desolate and barren land of Mecca. The Mecca described in the story of Hajar in the Quran was not what it is today, a barren, uninhabited desert.

This story is told by Allah SWT in Surah Ibrahim, verse 37. Upon arriving in Mecca, Allah ordered the Prophet Ibrahim to leave his wife and children to carry out another command. Ibrahim immediately took leave of his wife and children to carry out the task.

The story of Siti Hajar in the Koran continues with Siti Hajar trying to find a source of water for her thirsty baby. Siti Hajar ran between Safa and Marwah hills 7 times. This event is immortalized in the Hajj pilgrimage and is one of the pillars that must be carried out by Hajj pilgrims.

Knowing that this was not working, the Prophet's wife prayed and asked Allah SWT for help. Not long after, a spring of water emerged from the ground under Hajar's feet, with Allah's permission.
