Muslims must understand how to pray while traveling using the Jamak system so that they do not miss prayers even when traveling.

As a Muslim, it's important for you to know how to pray while traveling . The five daily prayers are obligatory, even though there are some situations where Muslims cannot perform them properly.
One example is when a Muslim is sick and traveling a long distance. In Islam, there is a form of relief offered by Allah SWT, called the Jama'ah prayer.
Jama'ah prayer involves combining two prayers at one time, such as Dhuhr and Asr, or Maghrib and Isha. It's important to know how to pray while traveling to avoid mistakes.
Before learning how to pray while traveling , you must understand the following hadith. These hadith provide evidence for the permissibility of using jamak (plural prayer). Furthermore, many people still lack a clear understanding of this jamak system. Here are some of these hadith:
"The Prophet (peace be upon him) once combined the Dzuhur and Asr prayers in Medina, not because he was traveling or because he was afraid. I asked, 'O Abu Abbas, why is that?' He replied, 'He (the Prophet (peace be upon him) does not want hardship for his people.'".
"That if Rasulullah SAW set off on his journey before the sun set, he ended his midday prayer at the time of the Asr prayer, then he got out of the vehicle then he combined the two prayers. If the sun set before he left, he prayed the midday prayer first then got on the vehicle.".
There are actually two types of jamak prayer. One is jamak takdim, which combines two obligatory prayers at the beginning of the prayer time. For example, Dzuhur and Asr prayers are performed at Dzuhur time.
Likewise, Maghrib prayers are combined with Isha prayers, which are performed at Maghrib time. The correct way to pray while traveling
1. Reading the intention
The intention for the Dzuhur and Ashar Jamak Takdim prayers carried out at Dzuhur time is:
Ushollii fardlozh zhuhri arba'a raka'aatin majmuu'an ma'al ashri adaa-an lillaahi ta'aalaa.
Meaning: I deliberately made a mistake in committing the 4 rakaat of Dzuhur prayer combined with Asr, which is obligatory because of Allah Ta'ala.
2. Start performing the Dzuhur prayer by starting with the takbiratul ihram.
3. Read the iftitah prayer
4. read the Al-Fatihah letter
5. Reading short letters
6. Bowing
7. I'tidal
8 prostrations
9. Sitting between two prostrations
10. Second prostration
11. Stand up to do the second rak'ah and so on
12. Early tasyahud
13. Final Tasyahud
14. Greetings
15. Stand up and intend to pray the Asr Jamak takdim prayer with the following intention:
Ushollii fardlozh ashri arba'a raka'aatin majmuu'an ma'al dzuhri adaa-an lillaahi ta'aalaa.
Meaning: I intend to pray Asr prayer 4 rakaat combined with Dzuhur, obligatory because of Allah ta'ala.
16. Do as usual and end with greetings
The intention for the plural Taqdim Maghrib and Isha worship is also the same as the intention above. So first you have to read the intention for Maghrib worship and after completing Maghrib then read the intention for Isha worship and carry it out.
Jamak takhir is a way of praying on the road by collecting two fardu prayers to be performed during the second worship time. So when you want to combine the times of Dhuhr and Asr, you will do it at Asr time. Here's how to do it:
1. Read the plural intentions at the end of the midday prayer
Ushollii fardlozh zhuhri arba'a raka'aatin majmuu'an ma'al ashri adaa-an lillaahi ta'aalaa.
Meaning: I deliberately pray the obligatory Dzuhur prayer 4 rakaat combined with Asr, obligatory because of Allah ta'ala
2. Perform the Dzuhur prayer by starting with the takbiratul ihram
3. read the iftitah prayer
4. Reading the Al-Fatihah letter
5. Reading short letters
6. Bowing
7. I'tidal
8 prostrations
9. Sitting between two prostrations
10. Second prostration
11. Stand up to do the second rak'ah and so on
12. Early tasyahud
13. Final Tasyahud
14. Greetings
15. Stand and intend to end the Asr prayers with the following intention:
Ushollii fardlol 'ashri arba'a raka'aatin majmuu'an ma'azh zhuhri adaa-an lillaahi ta'aalaa.
Meaning: I deliberately pray the Ashar obligatory prayer 4 rakaat combined with Dzuhur, obligatory because of Allah ta'ala
16. Perform the Asr prayer as usual and end with a greeting
Of course, this also applies if you want to perform Jamak Takhir prayers at Maghrib and Isha, where the only difference is the intention. method of praying while traveling using Jamak can certainly be helpful on long journeys.
