Divine light is a term in religion and is often used to describe the light from God. Basically, each religion has different perspectives related to the depiction of this Divine light, especially in Islam.
Regarding this matter, it is closely related to the perspective of religion related to the divine radiant from the Creator. So, what is the meaning of divine light in Islam?

Religiously, Muslims know the term Divine Light is Nur. The word 'Nur' is mentioned in the Koran 43 times and unique there is one surah named Surah An-Nur.
In Surah An-Nur there is also one verse discussing light. Discussion of the full meaning of light you can see in QS. An-Nur verse 35 in the Koran.
In the verse explains that the Divine Light is a way of guidance, where the path is to direct humanity to the straight path to the Creator, namely Allah SWT.
In this regard, the Divine Light in Islam is something that helped deliver Muslims to the gifts, guidance, and rewards of Allah SWT. But on the contrary, if the infidels and do not believe in God will be far from His light.
Sourced from the book translation of the Book of Hikam and his explanation, if Allah SWT wants his faithful people to His side, then Allah will always bring to him Nur Divine.
As a clue so that His servant goes to Nur Divine, then Allah will reduce the Koran and Sunnah. So, who is always practicing the Koran and Hadith, will get the blessing from God.
Because, Divine Light is a guidance that can penetrate the hearts and can of the people of faith and piety. So, whoever does not believe and devote to Him, will find darkness in his way of life.

For a Muslim, the Divine Light is the biggest blessing from Allah SWT. To the servant he wants. Characteristics of people who get Divine Nur from God are those who always carry out His commands and stay away from all His prohibitions.
People who routinely worship in God's home, then for him will get a guarantee of guidance and guidance from God. The following are the characteristics of those who get guidance and guidance from God:
The characteristic of someone given a nur by God one of them is that he is not deceived by the world. Someone if not deceived by the world and focus on worshiping his Lord, then it will always be given to him calm and guidance in his life.
Prioritizing the afterlife compared to the world makes Muslims given Nur by God. By reducing his interest in worldly and focusing on worship, someone will be more noble in the eyes of God.
So it would be nice as a Muslim to always prioritize their worship to get blessing. Leave worldly affairs that make humans forget their time to worship God.
The characteristics of the person chosen by God to get the divine light are people who are always ready to face the arrival of death. Because, a person will always keep himself away from the actions that harm him in the hereafter.

Basically, the parable of this Divine Nur is the lamp behind the glass and in its place is on the most clear oil. Therefore, often in Islam find glass above the lights shining and shiny.
The lamp will be placed in a house of worship filled by believers and people pious to His Lord. The meaning of the Divine Light is to give a signal that the believers who are always believed to God will be given guidance and eternal happiness.
Therefore, Muslims who are preoccupied by His Lord are more than their worldly busyness, then the guarantee for him is kept away from darkness. So, the best of believers is to draw closer to His Lord.
As previously mentioned that the term 'Nur' in the Koran (35) means Nur and its meaning shows that something related to the senses will be explained by God.
That is, all sensory power such as seeking, touching, kissing, hearing, until the tasting will have a nur to show everything that is indicated. The existence of the form of divine light is a form of God's power to His faithful servants.
