The history of Sai between the Shafa Hill and the Marwah Hill is closely related to the story of the Prophet Ismail, the son of the Prophet Ibrahim, Mrs. Siti Hajar and the emergence of Zamzam wells.
Quran Cordoba - Shafa Hill and Marwah Hill in Makkah are historic hills as well as the holy places of Muslims. The two hills became the place where Sa'i was doing when carrying out Hajj and Umrah.
Sa'i is one of the pillars of Hajj and Umrah, done after surrounding the Kaaba or Tawaf. Sa'i himself is jogging or walking, 7 times from Shafa Hill to Marwah.
Both hills have something to do with the Prophet Ismail, the son of the Prophet Ibrahim, Mrs. Siti Hajar and the emergence of Zamzam wells. This time we will discuss the history of Sa'i along with the Shafa and Marwah hills.
Meaning: "Indeed, Safa and Marwah are part of the Shi'ar (Religion) of Allah. Then whoever worships the pilgrimage to Baitullah or with a pure, there is no sin for him to do Sa'i between the two. And whoever with the willingness of the heart to do the virtue, then Allah is All -Knowing." (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2: 158)

Must leave his wife, Siti Hajar who just gave birth to her first child, the Prophet Ismail. Siti Hajar along with the Prophet Ismail who at that time was still a baby left in the barren Mecca.
At that time, Siti Hajar had begun to run out of water supplies and also supplies. Meanwhile, the child, the Prophet Ismail who at that time was still a baby continued to cry because of hunger.
So Siti Hajar then ran to Bukit Shafa, and also Bukit Marwah to look for water sources. Then Siti Hajar continued to run back and forth up to 7 times.
But unfortunately he did not find a water source, at that time Siti Hajar saw a water source. From the land under the legs of his son, the Prophet Ismail.
With alacrity, Siti Hajar then gathered the water, saying Zamzam in Arabic, meaning gathering. The spring is a zamzam well which for 4,000 years has never dried.
For its location, Bukit Shafa and also the Marwah hill are located in the area of the Grand Mosque of Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is known that the distance between Shafa Hill is approximately 100 meters from the Kaaba.
While the location of Marwah is approximately 350 meters from the Kaaba, so the distance between the two small hills is approximately 450 meters. So that when doing sa'i, the pilgrims.
Traveling about 3.15 kilometers long. In 1375 Hijri or before 1955 to 1956, the location of Bukit Shafa and Marwah still existed outside the area of the Grand Mosque of Mecca.
Then the Saudi Arabian government continued to carry out development and also continued to renovate the Grand Mosque. So the two small hills can be in the area of the Grand Mosque until now. This sa'i is also included in the pillars of the pilgrimage and also this sa'i worship must be done. At the time of undergoing pilgrimage or pilgrimage, as is the order of Sa'i as follows:
Meaning: "Indeed Shafa and Marwah are part of the symbols of God's religion"
Meaning: "Allah will not accept the pilgrims or Umrah someone who does not do sa'i between the hill of Shafa and Marwah." (HR. Bukhari).
The implementation of this sa'i certainly reminds humans. Especially Muslims around the world to always try, like the story of Ibu Ismail, Siti Hajar, who is so sure of getting the help of Allah SWT when facing various difficult situations.
