Satan is a creature destined to live a very long life, filling his life with corruption, rebellion, and disobedience against God the Creator of the universe. During his long life, he appears many times in different forms at various times until the appearance of Dajjal, his friend from among the human race, whom some people think is Satan himself.
Satan's main goal is to mislead and harm humanity because he believes that he was expelled from Paradise because of the presence of Prophet Adam (peace be upon him), and not because of his own actions, namely because of his disobedience when ordered to prostrate to Prophet Adam (peace be upon him), as narrated in the Qur'an.
Allah SWT has commanded us not to follow Satan and to make him a clear enemy. He says in Surah Yasin, verses 60-61: "Did I not command you, O Children of Adam, that you should not worship Satan? Satan is a clear enemy to you. Worship Me. This is the straight path."
