Quran Cordoba has made history by launching its latest innovation: a medical Quran. As part of the 2025 Islamic Book Fair (IBF), Cordoba collaborated with experts in modern medical science and Islamic studies in a talk show themed contemporary Islamic lifestyle solutions.
Officially presenting: Medical Quranic Mushaf, a breakthrough that combines medical science-based health guidance with Quranic verses and hadith.
The launch event and talk show held at the IBF JCC Jakarta Creative Stage was attended by hundreds of participants and featured an interactive discussion with four expert speakers in the fields of modern medicine and Islam.
The event opened with a video showing testimonials about the Medical Quran's solutions for health, followed by a symbolic plaque signing by Cordoba's President Director, Ustadz Usman el-Qurtuby. In his remarks, he expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all parties involved in the launch of the Medical Quran.
Moderated by Dr. Lula Kamal, M.Sc, the talk show provides an in-depth discussion of the contents of the medical manuscript:
1. Ustadz Andi Subarkah, Lc.
“The process of making this medical Mushaf is quite long, the journey takes years because it requires in-depth study,” then Ustadz explained the basis, citing the letter Al-Isra: 82 (“And We send down from the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy for the believers.”)
When surveyed, Indonesians were asked what they most desired, and 74% wanted to live in a healthy environment. He emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle, as exemplified by the Prophet: "Spiritual and physical health, including active movement, halal and thayyib food, and sufficient sleep, is a sunnah that must be observed."
The cleric also explained the importance of a good and clean environment or country, quoting Surah Al-Balad, verses 1-2.
2. Dr. dr. Agus Rahmadi, M.Biomed, MA, M.Si, Ph.D.
presented phenomenal research on the effect of Quranic recitation on bacterial growth. The results showed that the group of bacteria exposed to Quranic verses showed the best and most positive development. "This is scientific proof that peace of mind (through dhikr) affects physical health," he emphasized.
The experiment on germs and Quran recitation became the dissertation of Doctor Agus Rahmadi, the method was as follows: there were four groups of germs given different sound treatments (silence, classical music, Arabic poetry and Quran recitation sounds).
The result: The Quran group showed the most stability. "The frequency of the Quran recitation sound affects the water structure in cells." Similar to the research of Dr. Masaru Emoto, from Japan.
So if you want to be healthy, "Recite a lot of dhikr, remember Allah, calm your heart, and this medical Quran is an extraordinary inspiration," he said firmly.
3. Prof. Dr. Flori Ratna Sari, Ph.D.
Invited the audience to reflect with a thought-provoking question: "Want to enter heaven? Achieve peace with knowledge!" Then she recited the hadith.
"Whoever travels in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him the path to heaven." In fact, the main advantage of gathering knowledge is achieving peace of mind, Prof. Flori explained.
He even leaked his choice of content, such as the correlation between charity and brain health (page 196 of the medical Quran), the content of which is:
“O Messenger of Allah, which charity is greater in reward?” He replied: “You give charity when you are still healthy, when you are afraid of becoming poor, and when you dream of becoming rich…”
In a health journal column, there's an explanation:
Research shows that people who give alms out of sincerity (altruism) use the part of the brain that regulates empathy and discomfort (the anterior cingulate cortex). Meanwhile, people who give alms for reputation use more of the part of the brain associated with self-evaluation and reward (the nucleus accumbens).
The doctor also emphasized three keys to mental health: Avoid anger, sadness, and envy. These are all found in the Quran and medical hadith. He immediately encouraged the talk show participants to immediately acquire the medical Quran. Purchase and read it for its benefits.

•
• Health Journal: Scientific data related to the impact of worship (almsgiving, honesty) on the body and brain. The journal references are on the last page.
• Attractive Design: Eye-friendly, full color, at the beginning there is a fairly in-depth introductory article from the Ulama and equipped with a thematic index.
The
launch and talk show concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, fueled by participants' enthusiasm for acquiring this Quran. "The Quran is a medicine. Now, a medical Quran is not just for reading, but for practicing it as a real lifestyle," concluded Dr. Lula Kamal.
