عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَتient أُحِبُّهُ

"I saw the Prophet Muhammad constantly looking for a pumpkin around a large plate, so that since then, I became happy with a pumpkin." (HR Muslim, no. 2041)

The love of the Prophet Muhammad in the pumpkin is not only a matter of taste, but also contains health lessons. In modern studies, pumpkins - especially the type of Cucurbita Maxima or pumpkin - known as rich in antioxidants, vitamin A, and fiber.

Interestingly, the pumpkin that is often discarded, such as seeds and skin, actually has great potential as a source of bioactive compounds. Studies from the journal Food Science and Technology (Saagedra et al., 2015) show that seeds and pumpkin skin contain high antioxidant compounds and strong antimicrobial activity.
