Explained from the book of Syarah An-Nawawi, from Umm Salamah that the Prophet had said:
Meaning: "I hear the Umm Salamah Prophet's wife said: Rasulullah SAW . (Shahîh Muslim)
It means that if we have found the beginning of Dzulijjah and between us want to be sacrificial, then do not cut, touch the nails and hair attached to his entire body.
1. Dhâmir (pronoun) used in the sentence 'شَعْرِهِ' and 'أَظْفَارِهِ' is a single pronoun for the type of mudzakkar (male), namely the pronoun 'ه'. The letter 'ه' is a pronoun that returns to the owner of the sacrificial animal, not the sacrificial animal.
2. The point is that if we have found the beginning of Dzulijjah and between us want to be sacrificial, then never cut, touch the nails and hair attached to his entire body.
3. The benefits of the prohibition on cutting nails and hair for those who want to sacrifice are because they have many virtues. The scholars interpret that if God wants to forgive the sins of His servants from the tip of the hair to the tip of his nails.
4. There are some opinions among scholars, there are those who think that are prohibited that the hair and nails of the sacrificial animals, there is also the opinion of jumhur ulama, nails and hair of people who will be sacrificial.
For those who interpret the prohibition is to cut the nails and skin of the argument sacrificial animals is: The hadith of 'Aisyah that he led the necklace for the sacrifice of the Prophet. And after that does not stay away from what God is hared for the beginning of the 10 days of the month of Dzulhijjah (HR Nasai).
Meanwhile Islam recommends maintaining cleanliness. If the nails and human hair are time to be cleaned, then it does not have to be postponed for up to 10 days. In terms of animal psychology. He needs to be glorified before being slaughtered.
Whereas those who interpret the prohibition on cutting nails and shahibul qurban hair, the argument is: this is the domain of ta'abbudi (mahdhah worship), which must be followed for a granted (as is). Implementing it is a form of submission to religious orders.
Another wisdom is that this prohibition has similarities with pilgrims who are berihram. According to the word of Allah SWT.
"Do not shave (hair) your head before the sacrificial animal arrives at the place of slaughtering" [QS. Al-Baqarah: 196].
