The Secret Profile of the Prophethood of the Prophet Muhammad

Cordoba Quran - Before the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was appointed as an Apostle, Allah had prepared him through various events full of wisdom. That era was known as the period of ignorance, ignorance was rampant, darkness was felt in all aspects of life.

Every episode of Rasulullah's life according to Syamail Muhammadiyah - from his birth as an orphan, his independent childhood, his trading journey, to his love of solitude - was part of the divine design to form the most perfect human who would bring the final message to mankind.

6th century AD. Allah prepared His messenger. Not only that, but his birth was preceded by great signs that shook the earth and the heavens. That century, the darkest and most bleak period on earth, saw numerous earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and other calamities.

Reporting from National Geographic, the year 536 AD was the darkest time in the world, the sun went dark and the darkness lasted for 18 months, the light was only as bright as the moon, because of the fog that covered the sky.

That was the dark event in that century, apart from ignorance in morals and faith. Wisdom leading up to the birth of the Prophet in 571 AD, the arrival of Light to the universe.

All of this is proof that the presence of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was not a coincidence in history, but rather the planning and culmination of a divine scenario that had been written from the beginning.

7 Early Divine Guidance: The Prophet's Preparation Before Prophethood

In Syamail Muhammadiyah, from Jabir bin Samurah, he said, " I saw a sign of prophethood between the two shoulders of the Messenger of Allah, namely a red lump, like a pigeon's egg." (HR. Tirmizi)

Meanwhile, on his journey there was some guidance before becoming an Apostle, namely:

1. Herding Goats: The School of Patience and Leadership

From a young age, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) worked as a goat herder. This simple job held profound lessons. Herding taught him patience , diligence , and leadership .

The Prophet learned how to care for, protect, and direct weak creatures—skills that would later become the main asset in guiding humanity.

As he said:

ما بَعَثَ اللهُ نبياً إلا رَعَى الغَنَمَ

" No prophet is sent unless he has herded goats." (HR. Bukhari)

This was madrasah of the Prophet's life . By looking after a herd of goats, he learned to guide people with love and gentleness.

2. Protected from the Entertainment of Jahiliah: Divine Care

In his youth, Mecca was filled with the culture of ignorance—entertainment, false poetry, and revelry. However, Allah ﷻ protected the Prophet Muhammad from vain pursuits even before he received revelation.

History says that when the Prophet Muhammad approached a party of the Quraysh, he fell asleep before arriving.

This is a sign that the sanctity of the prophetic mission demands personal sanctity. Allah has prepared His Prophet to be a moral example for humanity.

3. Al-Amin: The Foundation of the Faith of the Ummah

Before the revelation came, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was widely known by the nickname al-Amin— "the trustworthy." This title was given for a reason. His honesty and trustworthiness earned everyone, even his enemies, trust in him.

The title al-Amin became an important asset in da'wah, because when the Prophet Muhammad delivered revelations, the people already knew his reputation as someone who never lied.

4. Trade Journey to Syria: Opening Global Insights

Rasulullah ﷺ also participated in trade caravans to Syria, both as a child with Abu Talib and as an adult when he brought Khadijah's merchandise. During that trip, he interacted with various nations and cultures.

This journey shaped the Prophet's global perspective , introducing him to the social, political, and economic conditions of humanity. This was essential preparation for becoming a universal preacher —bringing Islam not only to Arabia, but to the entire world.

5. Marriage to Khadijah: Moral and Financial Support

The Prophet's marriage to Lady Khadijah was not simply a love story, but part of divine preparation. Khadijah provided the emotional stability and financial support that enabled the Prophet to focus on his prophetic mission.

Without Khadijah's presence, the early days of da'wah would likely have been much more difficult. She is proof that a supportive environment plays a crucial role in the success of the prophetic mission.

6. Hira Cave: Silence that Prepares Revelation

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to seclude himself in the Cave of Hira to meditate , meditate, and seek the truth. He chose solitude away from the hustle and bustle of ignorance to draw closer to God.

This is proof of the spiritual readiness of the Prophet. Being alone thinks about life, as well as humanity's future in the afterlife. So, when Gabriel came to convey the first revelation, his heart was ripe to receive instructions and messages.

7. Mecca: God's Chosen Center of the World

Mecca, his birthplace, was located on an international trade route connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe. It has also been a pilgrimage destination since the time of the Prophet Abraham.

Allah placed the final Prophet at the center of world communications to enable the message of Islam to spread rapidly and widely . Mecca became the center stage for the greatest spiritual transformation in world history.

Signs of Heaven and Earth: Irhasat Before the Birth of the Prophet ﷺ

The birth of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was not an ordinary event. History records various great signs (irhas) before his birth, both in heaven, earth and human hearts.

1. Mentioned in previous books

In the Torah and Gospel, the characteristics and signs of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ have been mentioned. The priests and monks recognized him as they recognized their own children . This news spread widely among the people of the book who were waiting for his arrival.

2. The Sky is Closed from Demons and Fortune Tellers

Before his birth, the gates of heaven were guarded . Satan and genies can no longer steal news from the angelic realm. This indicates that the final prophetic era has arrived , and the truth will come without the intermediary of supernatural beings.

3. Earth Welcomes with Miracles

When the Prophet ﷺ was born, a number of extraordinary phenomena occurred:

  • Dozens of balconies of the Kisra Palace collapsed, as many as 14 balconies.
  • The fire of Magi worship that had burned for a thousand years was extinguished at that time.
  • Lake Sawa in Persia suddenly dried up.

It was as if the earth was cleansing itself to welcome the best of humanity.

4. The authority of the Quraish and the light of Abdul Muttalib

The Prophet's family also experienced great signs. Abdul Muttalib saw light coming out of his back, which then moved to Abdullah, the father of Rasulullah ﷺ.

This light is a symbol of grace and glory that will fill the earth.

Muhammadiyah Shamail Lessons and Divine Preparation

The Prophet Muhammad's journey before his prophethood is proof that a great mission requires great preparation . Allah ﷻ prepared His Prophet spiritually, emotionally, socially, and intellectually to be worthy of carrying out the mandate as the final prophet .
