Heri Mahbub
Let's celebrate independence every day with the three pillars of the Prophet—so that a life of freedom can truly be felt: a fit body, a secure and peaceful existence, and a sustenance for which we can be grateful. That is a humane victory—healthy, Prophetic, with a medical Quran.

Quran Cordoba - Freedom That Is Not Seen in Mobile Notifications
That night, Dina glanced at her notifications—information, promotions, event lists, and happy news about the Independence Day celebrations. But beneath the excitement of the flags and the August 17th competitions, a quiet question lurked: "Am I independent yet?"
Not just freedom from colonialism, but freedom from anxiety, freedom from feelings of inadequacy, freedom from a restless mind.
The next day, during the dawn prayer, a religious teacher recited a hadith that answered his concerns:
From 'Ubaidillah bin Mihshan from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam , he said,
" Whoever of you feels safe in his home, healthy in body, and has the basic food for that day, it will be as if the world has gathered for him."
(HR. Tirmidhi, no. 2346)
Dina smiled. It turns out that living independently is simple and down -to-earth —three pillars formulated by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and today increasingly valid through the lens of science and the medical Qur'an .
From a medical Quranic , health is not just a physical matter, but also encompasses mental well-being, emotional stability, and adequate daily nutrition. Freedom—or a free life —is not merely a symbol, but rather a state of inner peace that results from the fulfillment of three basic needs: safety , health , and adequate food .
The Qur'an reminds us:
"And Allah made a parable (about) a land that was previously safe and peaceful, its sustenance came in abundance from all over the place; but its (inhabitants) denied Allah's blessings, so Allah made them feel hungry and afraid." (QS. An-Nahl: 112)
This verse emphasizes the close relationship between a sense of security, sufficient sustenance, and stability in life—the foundations of true freedom.
A sense of security reduces the "fight-or-flight" mode that keeps the body constantly on alert. When safety is present, stress hormone levels (such as cortisol) are more stable, and heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing patterns become calmer. That's why security is a key word in living freely .
Practical steps:
The medical Quran views health as body-soul synchronization: adequate sleep, regular exercise, good nutrition, and a broad heart.
Health psychology research shows that psychological well-being—optimism, gratitude, and a sense of purpose in life—is positively correlated with immunity, cardiovascular health, and longevity. When stress decreases, systemic inflammation subsides, making the body more responsive to healing.
Practical steps:
The hadith above emphasizes the "qūt yaumihi" —the staple food of the day. The indicator of freedom is not a refrigerator full of meaningless juices, fruits, and meats, but a balanced diet.
medical perspective directs us to eating food that is toyyib (good) and in proportion: sufficient, nutritious, halal and full of blessings.
Practical steps:
When a sense of security is met, the autonomic nervous system shifts to the parasympathetic (rest and digest) system. Digestion works efficiently, sleep is restored, and immunity is boosted. When health is maintained, energy for work and worship increases—making you productive and satisfied.
When enough food is available, the brain isn't triggered by feelings of "lack" that lead to financial anxiety or hunger.
Modern science confirms this pattern: psychological well-being is closely linked to physical health, strengthening the heart, stabilizing blood pressure, and reducing the risk of chronic disease.
In other words, the hadith of the Prophet SAW is not just moral advice—it is a biological formula for inner and outer freedom.
Want to experience freedom today? Try this simple checklist:
Add a three-line gratitude ritual to your evening routine: write down three small things you're grateful for. Just do this consistently for a week—see how much more spacious your soul feels.
Independence is not just a flag raised once a year; it is an inner state cultivated daily. The medical Quran teaches: stay safe, stay healthy, stay well-fed—and Allah will provide for you everything else.
When these three pillars are present, the impact spreads: homes become a blessing, neighbors look out for one another, and cities feel empowered. This is the ecology of freedom : starting with the individual, spreading to the family, and then weaving through society. This leads to the independence of the nation and homeland.
Dina closed her Quran. On the table was a plate of warm rice, in the living room the children were laughing, and in her heart was a long-desired peace.
“Safe, healthy, well-fed—it was as if the world had come together.” Not because everything was perfect, but because God had already provided the most essential things.
Let's celebrate independence every day with the three pillars of the Prophet—so that a life of freedom can truly be felt: a fit body, a peaceful soul, and a sustenance for which to be grateful. That is the most humane—and most Qur'anic—victory.
Wallahu'alam
