Jakarta, November 22, 2025 — Istiqlal Mosque has once again become the center of Indonesia's spiritual light through the grand event of Indonesia Quran Hour (IQH) 2025, initiated by Quran Cordoba since 2017, together with scholars, religious leaders, entrepreneurs, reciters, and thousands of Quran lovers from all over the country.
The event, which took place on Saturday (22/11/2025) at 12.30–15.00 WIB, successfully presented a moving atmosphere, profound wisdom, and the strength of togetherness in the sermon and recitation of holy verses.
In his opening remarks, the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque and Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Dr. KH. Nasaruddin Umar, MA, emphasized the importance of the movement to read and bring the Qur'an to life.
According to him, IQH is part of a major effort to uphold the word of Allah and make His name fragrant.
He said:
“Whoever exalts the words of Allah, glorifies the name of Allah and His words, then He will give him His protection.”
Prof. Nasaruddin explained that in the Qur'an, the command to read and understand the words of Allah very often uses the form of fi'il mudhari'—a verb that means present and future.
An example can be found in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 151, which shows that reading and studying the Qur'an is a continuous command, not a momentary activity.
Prof. also teaches.
Indonesia has great advantages in the art and aesthetic value of mushafs, including modern mushafs published by national publishers such as Quran Cordoba.
Not only that, he highlighted the potential of the Indonesian Quranic industry:
That the national demand for mushafs reaches 2 million copies per year, but production only covers around 400 thousand mushafs.
This shows the need for broader collaboration to meet the needs of the community.
At the end of his speech, the Minister of Religion emphasized how noble the Qur'an is:
"The mushaf paper lives because of its verses. The Qur'an must be above all else."
He closed his remarks with congratulations on holding IQH 2025 and invited the congregation to make the Istiqlal Mosque a place to strengthen their spiritual connection with Allah:
"This mosque is the best place to shed tears of longing for Allah. To be a spiritual friend of the Indonesian people."

The next speech was delivered by Ir. Joni Rosadi, a prominent businessman and the driving force behind Indonesia Quran Hour since 2017.
In his message, there are at least three fundamental things that are the obligations of Muslims towards the Qur'an:
1. Reading
2. Understand
3. Practice
Abah Joni, as he is familiarly known, invites all people to make IQH a habit, the peak of the annual event can be at Istiqlal, but the daily habit of movement is more important.
"The simplest program is one hour with the Quran every day. This is where our lives will change," he said firmly.
As a special moment, all participants completed the Qur'an reading together at one time—a monumental symbol to reaffirm the Qur'an as a guide for the lives of all people.
Ustaz Koh Dennis Lim as a young preacher, gave an inspiring testimony about the journey of guidance from the Qur'an, he became a light that guided his life every day to migrate.
As the main material, the first Qori Ustaz Ahmad Komarudin read Surah As-Saff.
Thousands of participants listened, read, understood, and confirmed their commitment to living with the Qur'an.
The event with the theme "Wake up the soul, wake up the body" is a spiritual momentum for Muslims at the end of 2025.
The public's enthusiasm was extraordinary. Thousands of worshippers packed the Istiqlal Mosque.
As a token of gratitude and outreach, the committee has prepared 1,000 free copies of the Quran for selected participants. They will be distributed via a code to those who register and attend in person.
This is a real form of Kordoba's contribution in spreading love for Kalamullah throughout the country.
Amazingly, there is a free Umrah prize from STIKES Dharma Husada.
Alhamdulillah, Masyaallah, Umrah was granted to a lucky IQH participant who had memorized the Quran and had never performed Umrah or Hajj. His memorization was even tested live on stage. This was for a young man named:
Ragheb Ghalsyam, a graduate of the Rafah Islamic Boarding School in Bogor. Barakallahufik
Ustaz Abu Rabbani led a group prayer, tadabbur, accompanied by dhikr and chanting of Istiqlal qori recitations, Ustaz Abu invited all participants to muhasabah, ask for Allah's forgiveness, and improve themselves with the Al-Quran.
The cleric urged people to understand the message of struggle in Surah As-Saff—that every Muslim has a role in building the nation, not only physically, but also spiritually, morally, and intellectually. This is especially true considering the high rate of Quranic illiteracy among Muslims.
With the support of religious scholars, Muslim public figures, and the Quranic community, Indonesia Quran Hour 2025 once again proves that the Quran is a unifying force for the people.
IQH's annual agenda reinforces Cordoba's vision to inspire people to live and love with the Qur'an.

In accordance with company directives, all Quran Cordoba Bandung and Jakarta employees are required to attend in person, while the Surabaya branch will participate online.
This policy is part of an effort to build a corporate culture based on Qur'anic values and strengthen the commitment to preaching through Qur'anic literacy.
Two buses transported more than 80 Cordoba Quran fighters from Bandung to the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.
Employees gain first-hand experience listening to the recitation of Surah As-Saff, deepening their understanding of the steadfastness of faith and the spirit of sincere work, and affirming that working in a Qur'anic environment is part of worship.
This presence is important as a form of the company's commitment to spreading Qur'anic values and supporting the national movement to love the Qur'an.
This event is an important moment for the entire Cordoba Quran family to: strengthen spirituality, renew the spirit of da'wah,
and unite a common vision in spreading the Koran in every line of life.
